It's a distinct pleasure to find a solid home in Jewell Lake that doesn't show its age because it was so well-built initially and carefully maintained and updated since then.

The street-level floor is the main living area with the living, kitchen and dining rooms, plus another master suite. Downstairs in a full finished basement there's family and living areas, an office and mechanical and lots of storage areas. There are five baths total, two powder rooms, two master baths, and two secondary baths.

Cosmetically there is a lot to like here. Interior doors are all solid wood: none of the hollow-core panels for whoever built this home. The kitchen is tastefully modern and well-appointed with oak cabinetry and solid-surface countertops. The living areas have gleaming laminate flooring. There are decorator accent touches that provide artistic relief and pleasant surprises here and there, such as frosted images in the door panels leading into the living room.  The lighting has been upgraded: in addition to lots of natural light that pours in through many windows, the natural light is more than adequate everywhere. Carpet is new in most areas of the home, too.

A home this solidly built should be very energy-efficient. To make it more so, there's an furnace that is oversized for the footage. A built-in humidifier completes the installation.

Lots of other pleasant surprises too, such as 220 power in the garage. It has a laundry sink and generous work areas and cabinetry. There's a sauna.

Finally, you will want to notice how the configuration of the street creates a large RV parking area in front of the home.

This is a classic home for someone to really love.
